A fully turnkey project: the yard started as a blank slate, and everything in it, from the first design to the final details, is our work. The clients wanted a look of their own, so every material and colour was chosen to work together, starting with light terrazzo pavers set with darker accent bands that tie the patio, the pool surround and the steps into one composition.
The pool has a shallow ledge where the loungers sit right in the water, and glass panels enclose it without blocking the view. Beside it stands a custom aluminum fire pit, and along the edge, custom PVC planters with a built-in bench hold hydrangeas and cedars.
At the heart of the yard, a three-section louvered pergola shelters an outdoor kitchen, a dining area and a lounge, so the space works as an extension of the house. In the evening, lighting built into the pergola and the steps lets the family enjoy it well after sunset.
